I’m Just a Bill…June 29-July 5, 2025
Designed to skim. A casual look at new House bills introduced from June 29-July 5, 2025. Most won’t pass, but they contain warnings and plans of our authoritarian future and who’s resisting.
No Medicaid for Conversion Therapy.
Guns, Guns, Guns.
Regulations on Guns, Guns, Guns.
Medals for the Veterans of Operation Midnight Hammer.
Our Beloved Leader Can’t Deploy Troops Stateside.
Gas Money for an Out-of-State Abortion Run.
Gorging on The Bones of Freddie Mac & Fannie May.
Helping Israel Attack Iran.
Harsher Penalties for America’s Worst Crime—Flag Burning. (Constitutionally Protected).
Plus, A Letter to America’s Most Christian Ambassador about Genocide.
Letters From The Fiesta 13:

To: Mikey Hucks-A-Bee,
United States Ambassador to Israel, Sumeria & Judea. Zionist.
Dear Mikey,
Please help us. We don’t understand. We were Christians for about 10 minutes in the 2000’s until we read the Bible & decided we wanted to treat our slaves nicer & also not endorse slavery or have slaves.
As one of the World’s Holiest Men, Mikey, surely, you can explain how genocide is the hallmark of a good Christian as you are the grease in the wheels of this Israeli genocide.
This is The Israelites & all the Amaleks, right? Benji Net just brought the A word up to describe Palestine. Calling one Amalek is good enuff genocidal justification.
Even God is a big fan of genocide with the big flood reset. God’s do-over as we understand it.
So, help us Mikey Hucks, help us understand why the systematical killing of brown children is a good thing.
Do you see Muslims or even any Christians more liberal than your slave-lovin’ Southern Baptists, your chosen God, as less than human, less than worthy of salvation, an obstacle to good Christian salvation?
Since you’re a Southern Baptist Minister, we know, the word is not slaves, but servants. As in, “I have a servant who I own & if he reproduces, I own the offspring as well.” Servant.
As we understand it, the killing of all those brown children will bring back the blonde-haired, blue-eyed baby white Jesus. Well, not directly. The easiest way to move a people off of your God-given land is to kill them. Don’t they know your divine right to property? Honda and Caterpillar have new contracts to pave-over Palestine. God commands his followers to rape and pillage non-believers throughout the Bible. No conflict in the killing message there.
Then, after The Jews are back on their Holy Land, Jesus shows up and smites them, except for a few. So, as an Ambassador to Israel, Mickey, is your secret goal to see the death of most Israelis? Does a good ambassador wish for the death, not only of their country’s neighbors, but for the country in which they are ambassadors? You may have a slight agenda problem with your job, Mikey.
What does Benji Net say? Then again, Benji thinks you’re the useful idiot as there’s no Jesus coming back. Sucker. Plus, the US & Israel both hate Muslims. Like a good Christian missionary, these muslim savages deserve death, too late for help or salvation as good Christians salivate in anticipation of end times. Sorry, Muslims. Your children die for a good cause.
Let’s say Mickey Hucks-A-Bee is correct. Israel reestablishes a nation state. Jesus, an adherent to all defined nation boundaries, shows up & begins The Rapture. Raining dogs & cats and so on. Fun times ahead.
Not a theologian, but if you die before The Glorious Rapture, wouldn’t you get to fully experience the pain and suffering of others from Heaven? Why do ya gotta be there in a fleshy persona? To gloat? To mock? To just be right? Personally, we’d feel weird knowing most of the world went to Hell. We’ll pass on seeing that. The notion of infinite punishment for a finite life is fundamentally unjust. Even if it’s Hitler.
As a Mighty Man of Valor & America’s holiest, did you do anything to save the souls of the dead, brown children? Good Christians meet soul quotas. Have you met your soul quota or is it like Amway & you’re at the top of the Soul Pyramid Scheme on easy street to Heaven.
After October 7, 2023, Israel erected long-distant telescopes on the attacked music festival site so you can look into the West Bank. Front row seats to a genocide. Do you pack a lunch, grab ice cream and watch the famine with the fam?
It’s a nice day, let’s go look at starving children. Do you do that? Like sitting on the edge of Heaven looking down passively at all the righteous suffering of savages, smiling in victory for eternity. Do the dead, brown children get “Jesus Loves You” Sunday services for salvation? No, well, you did the least a Christian could do for a non-Christian without the victory of Christian conversion. Our God is a Transactional God, part of The Cosmic Punishment Bureaucracy. Follow or die.
But y’all won’t go to Hell. You say so. You tell us how not to go to Hell. We don’t wanna. Not going to Hell is a bigger stick than Heaven’s tiny carrot.
One of our favorite movies is the 1960’s Jigoku, a Japanese look at the goings-on in Hell. The different levels of Hell, the endless suffering, the inescapable infinity of pain. Check it out, you’ll like it. Sorry, no Jesus.
How many dead brown children have to die to have Jesus return as your personal savior?
To end on a lighter note, Ozempic’s working! Looking great, like a fabulous loose-skinned skeleton. All those years of a pious dieting & books, all you needed was The Fat Drug Shot, right?
Sincerely,
Your Pals at The Fiesta 13.
The Fiesta 13 looks at just under 100 new bills in The House of Representatives. Much of the legislation continue to remix other bills. More gun safety on one side, less on the other side.
There’s been a turn in mindset this week. The Act passed. Sure, Chuckie Shu, you’ve won a hard-fought, important victory in changing the name of The BBB to the mysteriously-named The Act. Notice how everyone from Our Beloved Leader to every anchor still call The Act ‘The Big Beautiful Bill.’ Rude, amendments were passed to call HR1 The Act. So should you.
The Act.
Act. That’s the turn. Action. Up until this week, The Fiesta 13 fooled itself in claiming all the information we’ve been pummeled with are warnings for an authoritarian, fascist administration.
But, they’re here.
The warnings have ended.
The passage of The Act changes Warnings into a settled reality. While many will say, No Shit, Sherlock, where ya been? We’ve been naive. Still clinging to the ivy on the stone wall of a perceived democracy. Fingernails shattered, the ivy bare.
The expansion of ICEd makes the upcoming full police state a certainty. The cuts are permanent & ongoing damage is baked in for the next 10 years with the biggest damage after the 2026 elections, if there is an election. Not one courageous repug stood up & the dems just did performative dances. Yea, Hakey Jeff, that 8 1/2 hour rousing speech had the effect of delaying the passage of The Act 8 1/2 hours. Good job!
What does the mindset turn mean? First, if the gub’ment sez it, believe it. While liars all, they’ve been bald-faced truth-tellers about their plans. Every terrible idea floated is a trial balloon—ridiculed and marginalized by most media. Then, days out of our collective memory, the terrible idea gets implemented.
Just yesterday, Our Beloved Leader got Our Beloved Supreme Court’s blessing to fire 107,000 federal workers. Media portrays the story as an OBL win without any implications of the harm these firings will produce. Minimized. OBL’s also floated a basic slavery system for undocumented migrant workers. Undocumented workers can stay, but their employers are now responsible for the worker. The worker is the capitalist’s property until the debt is paid. What the debt is & what the amount to be paid is an abstract, probably moveable. Bet, we’re two years away from a nationalized debtor’s prison. Corporations are already planning to rely on the free prison labor which only incentivizes locking folks up.
Second, do not rely on The Gub’ment for anything. Mentally, we’ve been living without a social safety net for decades. As natural-born loners, The Fiesta 13 needs to reach out locally for help & help locally. Yesterday, an independent entered Petey Ricks Senate race, so we may actually do some campaign work for the first time social anxiety be damned.
Third, go local.
We’ll leave you with our daydream of how the billionaire problem ends. The society from Society (1989).
Let’s Go!
H.R.4234
To prohibit the Secretary of Homeland Security from granting parole to certain dangerous aliens, and for other purposes.
“My constituents are fed up with the flood of murderers, terrorists, and dangerous individuals that poured into our communities across New York State—all because of the reckless, failed open-border policies of the Biden administration,” said Congressman Langworthy. “A nation without secure borders is a nation in decline, and it’s time we take bold, decisive action to reverse the chaos of the last four years.”
Specifically, the SAFER at The Border Act would:
Prohibit parole for high-risk aliens: The bill bars the Secretary of Homeland Security from granting immigration parole to individuals who pose national security or public safety risks—such as known terrorists, members of transnational criminal organizations, or those flagged in federal threat databases.
Closes loopholes for refugee parole: It prohibits parole of refugees into the United States outside of the established refugee admission process, preventing the administration from using broad parole authority to bypass standard vetting and security protocols.
Targets national security threats in immigration law: The bill ensures that individuals with ties to terrorism, espionage, or foreign criminal networks are flagged and blocked from entering the U.S., reinforcing existing inadmissibility standards with clear statutory guardrails.
Is this the 10,000th bill to do this? Look, plans to loosen vetting and oversight, that’ll work out.
H.R.4244
To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to prohibit payments under the Medicaid program for conversion therapy, and for other purposes.
The Press Release. Re-introduced.
“Conversion therapy is a cruel and dangerous practice that has no place in modern medicine, let alone funded by our tax dollars,” said Congressman Thanedar. “We must protect LGBTQ+ individuals from harm and ensure that federal healthcare dollars are used responsibly and compassionately. With the Trump administration’s constant attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, this legislation has never been more important.”
The Prohibition of Medicaid Funding for Conversion Therapy Act would make it illegal for Medicaid funds to cover these harmful practices.
Conversion Therapy is a scam. Proven ineffective against our hard-wired brains again & again. Also, not a disease that needs to be ‘cured.’ Conversion Therapy re-entered the public consciousness because so many repugs run private conversion clinics on the side. Wonder if they have a follow-up service that provides Beards to hide the gay when conversion fails?
H.R.4245
To protect human rights and enhance opportunities for LGBTQI people around the world, and for other purposes.
The GLOBE Act of 2025 would codify in law the Special Envoy position, require the State Department to document cases of human rights abuses and discrimination against LGBTQI people around the world, and institute sanctions against foreign individuals who are responsible for egregious abuses and murders of LGBTQI populations. Additionally, the bill ensures fair access to asylum and refugee programs for LGBTQI individuals who face persecution because of their sexual orientation.
“Through his executive orders and anti-DEI initiatives, President Trump has attacked fundamental human rights and the dignity of the LGBTQI community,” Congresswoman Titus said. “The GLOBE Act counters this by outlining a vision for U.S. leadership in the protection of LGBTQI rights globally.”
As our new allies, from Russia to Uganda, embrace hate, this is a small hedge against prejudice, but the bill assumes the US will even be accepting asylum seekers in the foreseeable future. Much less gay ones…
H.R.4249

H.R.4251
To require the Attorney General to report certain revocation and remedial action data with respect to Federal firearm licenses and to require the Comptroller General of the United States to study the effectiveness of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in investigating and revoking the licenses.
Specifically, the Protecting Americans from Reckless Gun Dealers Act would require the ATF to annually report:
The number of ATF inspections completed each month, by month.
The number of federal firearm licenses revoked that year, including names and locations of gun dealers whose licenses have been revoked.
The number of federal firearm licenses not renewed in lieu of revocation that year, including names and locations of gun dealers whose licenses have not been renewed.
The number of federal firearms licensee inspections resulting in a Qualifying Violation for a revocation, regardless of inspection outcome.
The number of Inspections with Qualifying Violations where revocation was ultimately not pursued.
The number of non-revocation remedial actions taken by the ATF.
Fairly sensible. This week’s File Under: Why Isn’t This Already a Thing Legislation.
H.R.4254
To establish a military service medal to be issued to members of the Armed Forces who served in support of operations related to the Iran-Israel War, including Operation Midnight Hammer.
“During my 20 years of military service, including multiple campaigns in the Middle East, I served side by side with the finest troops in the world. No matter what the mission is, American servicemembers always rise to the challenge, and Operation Midnight Hammer in Iran is no exception. There is no other military in the world that could have executed a precision strike on nuclear sites with such excellence, and the men and women who made it happen deserve full recognition for their efforts. I'm especially proud that the airmen involved received training at our military installations in San Antonio, which highlights yet again the importance of Military City, U.S.A.,” said Congressman Tony Gonzales. "The Iranian Campaign Medal Act will authorize the Department of Defense to establish a military service medal for our troops deployed to Iran under President Trump's decisive leadership."
You know the old saying, You Give Me a Medal, I’ll Give You a War.
This medal is for all troops deployed to Iran. No US troops were deployed to Iran. It was a flyover. So, is this medal anticipatory of more fighting? Our Beloved Leader blew a vein, using the pilots as cover for the lie of total nuclear plant obliteration. Inventing a medal helps paper over history & make history seem immutable.
H.R.4264
To amend title 10, United States Code, to modify the authority of the President to use the Armed Forces domestically to enforce Federal authority and to address interference with State and Federal law.
“President Trump has shown a disturbing pattern of disregard for the Constitution and due process. This month, he made it harder for local law enforcement to do their jobs in California by unlawfully deploying our military on U.S. soil – further escalating tension and violence,” said Michigan Congresswoman Haley Stevens. “We must stand up to Donald Trump’s chaos and destruction, which is why I am introducing this legislation to limit his powers and make sure he cannot deploy troops on U.S. soil for his political gain. We are a nation of laws and it’s about time the President begins to follow them.”
The bill would add this language into the Insurrection Act of 1807 and would only apply to duties related to peaceful protests and demonstrations.
Dem bill. Repugs will fight. Won’t go anywhere.
H.R.4265
To authorize grants to eligible entities to pay for travel-related expenses and logistical support for individuals with respect to accessing abortion services, and for other purposes.
“In 2022, the Supreme Court ripped the promise of equitable access to reproductive medical care away from millions of Americans, and MAGA extremists have spent every day since then trying to enact a national abortion ban,” said Strickland. “Access to safe and legal reproductive health care, including abortion, should be accessible to everyone, but care is too often out of reach for low-income families and women of color across the country. The Reproductive Health Travel Fund Act fulfills our responsibility to guarantee reproductive freedom for all women regardless of where they live.”
The Reproductive Health Travel Fund Act will establish a grant program to help community-based organizations and nonprofits provide financial support to those seeking abortion care. Eligible expenses include round-trip travel, lodging, childcare, doula care, and other travel-related expenses.
Will there be a nationwide abortion ban by midterms?
H.R.4266
To require that any amounts received by the Federal Government as a result of the release of the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation be used for State housing revolving loan funds for middle-class housing supply, and for other purposes.
This bipartisan bill would call for the federal government to dedicate as much as $250 billion received from ending the conservatorship over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, government-sponsored enterprises that purchase mortgages from lenders, to be invested in the construction of up to 3.5 million housing units. Union labor would be contracted to build, and the units would be dedicated to middle class Americans.
After 10 years, the remaining funds would be used for deficit reduction.
“If Fannie and Freddie are released, the government could recoup $250 billion,” said Rep. Suozzi. “We should capitalize on this moment by using these funds to build homes for men, women, and families in the American middle class, and we should pay union workers to do it. It’s good for the economy, good for families, and good for America.”
Why are we ending Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac? Shrink & loot?
H.R.4267
To direct the Secretary of the Treasury to continue to implement Direct File, and for other purposes.
Direct File’s first year was, we believe, last year & was by all accounts a hit, especially for the majority of paycheck-to-paycheck livin’ slaves. Big Tax lobbied, so now taxpayers now HAVE to pay a fee to do a tax return. Like a Poll Tax, there shouldn’t be fees to private industries to do your taxes.
H.R.4268
To direct the Secretary of the Interior to establish a grant program to provide funding for memorials honoring veterans, law enforcement officers, and firefighters, and for other purposes.
"Our veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers embody the very best of our nation, and we must honor their courage and selflessness. This includes preserving local memorials, which serve as powerful reminders of these heroes' legacies and sacrifices. The Remembering Our Local Heroes Act ensures that communities in New York and across the country have the resources needed to maintain and restore these tributes for future generations," said Congresswoman Tenney.
This is the third bill advocating for a Hall of Heroes Monument. 50 million in The Act gave money to a garden of American hero statues. More money on statues than healthcare, now that’s fascism you can see!
H.R.4270
To amend title 18, United States Code, to expand to all firearms the requirement that Federal firearms licensees report sales of 2 or more handguns to the same unlicensed person within 5 consecutive business days.
The Press Release. 33 dem co-signs.
“When individuals purchase multiple firearms in quick succession, it is often a sign of tragedy to come. Bulk firearms purchases are a strong indicator of gun trafficking or that guns will be used in criminal activity. It is essential that we require licensed gun dealers to report sales of multiple firearms, not just handguns, so we can better identify potential gun trafficking and cut off the supply of firearms that fuel transnational cartels and violence in our communities. Brady applauds Congresswoman Torres for introducing the Multiple Firearm Sales Reporting Modernization Act and for her continued commitment to freeing America from gun violence." Mark Collins, Director of Federal Policy, Brady: United Against Gun Violence.
Three-in-ten gun owners own more than five guns.
H.R.4278 , H.R.4279 & H.R.4280
To improve protections with respect to foreign regulation for certain entities integral to the national interests of the United States, and for other purposes. To prohibit entities integral to the national interests of the United States from participating in any foreign sustainability due diligence regulation, including the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive of the European Union, and for other purposes. To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to make permanent certain expiring income tax rates and to establish a new top income tax rate.
“Foreign countries have tried to take advantage of U.S. businesses by implementing tariff-like regulations, such as the EU’s Digital Markets Act, to appropriate the U.S. tax base for their own benefit. This threatens American innovation, weakens the U.S economy, and harms consumers worldwide,” said Congressman Scott Fitzgerald. “Congress and the Trump Administration should resoundingly condemn these regulations and support U.S. companies against these discriminatory acts by the EU and other foreign countries who seek to replicate their model.”
Honestly, put this in here thinking we’d figure out the grift. Squashed Head’s website made no sense. Guess we’re dumb, but our guess this is to deregulate crypto in Europe by ignoring those regulations.
H.R.4281
To authorize the President to take actions to ensure Israel is prepared for all contingencies if Iran seeks to develop a nuclear weapon, and for other purposes.
The recent U.S. strikes using bunker buster bombs degraded Iran’s deep underground nuclear facilities. While diminished, Iran remains committed to enriching uranium and developing a nuclear weapon. In the face of ongoing threats, it is imperative to equip Israel with maximum deterrence so Iran cannot move ahead with their nuclear program.
The bipartisan Bunker Buster Act will:
Help ensure Iran can never threaten the U.S., Israel, or our allies with a nuclear weapon;
Give the President the authority to transfer the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bomb, or “bunker buster,” and the aircraft necessary to carry it — if Iran is on the cusp of developing a weapon; and
Preserve Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region while maintaining the capacity to deter Iran.
This is how new soldiers will get that new elusive Operation Midnight Hammer medal. Do not give Israel the MOP bomb. They’ve already broken many International laws using the 2000 pound bombs Biden outlawed for ten minutes before reinstating.
H.R.4287
To enhance penalties for the use of incendiary devices, including burning the flag of the United States, in the commission of Federal offenses, and for other purposes.
Burning an American flag you own is Constitutionally-protected free speech. But this isn’t about that. This is another way to crack down on protestors in a performative gesture.
H.R.4291
To require a review of whether individuals or entities subject to the imposition of certain sanctions through inclusion on certain sanctions lists should also be subject to the imposition of other sanctions and included on other sanctions lists.
“Enough is Enough. For far too long, groups like CAIR have operated in our country and on our college campuses, promoting violent radical ideologies and defending the indefensible. CAIR has no place in American society. This is a group that celebrated the massacre on October 7th, saying it made them ‘happy'. I was proud to lead Florida in designating CAIR as a terrorist front, and I will be 'happy' when Congress does the same.” said Congressman Fine.
As an American, why is unwavering support for Israel more important than being an American exercising free speech? Everyone Israel doesn’t like is a terrorist we’re told.
H.R.4292
To establish within the legislative branch a Congressional Task Force on Voting Rights of United States Citizen Residents of Territories of the United States.
"Today, on Emancipation Day in the U.S. Virgin Islands, we take a critical step toward addressing one of the most glaring inequities in our democracy. The timing of this announcement honors the historic significance of July 3, 1848, when enslaved people in the Danish West Indies—now the U.S. Virgin Islands—gained their freedom, marking a pivotal moment in the fight for equal rights and representation." said Congresswoman Plaskett.
"More than 3.5 million Americans living in U.S. territories are denied the fundamental right to vote for President and lack full representation in Congress. The last five territories of the United States remain in a perpetual limbo status with no path to full inclusion for residents. Congress has a constitutional responsibility for the territories, and this legislation will provide an avenue for Congress to examine access to the ballot for its residents and address this democratic deficit,” Plaskett continued.
Needed. Let all the territories vote. ICEd is in those countries rounding up people.
This week caught The Fiesta 13 off-guard. We’all thought Our Beloved Congressbots were taking the whole week off. That’s our excuse for the late column this week. Also, the dog ate our column.
Hell’s Square Dance.
