Some of The Fiesta 13 premieres for March 1946.

Friday is Old Tape Warehouse Day at The Fiesta 13 where we blow the dust off an old project.

In 2015, The Fiesta 13 was nipples-deep in the KeyHawker Reconstruction Project. Most of the project was lost after The Great Insurance Fire of 2020. Even though The Fiesta 13 made budget with the insurance windfall, but too much was lost to start over.

The first The Fiesta 13 opened in Blaine, NE #103 on January 1, 1930. Within 10 years, every one of the over 1,000 Blaine, NE’s in AMERICA! had their own The Fiesta 13.

Random Screen Grabs from The Fiesta 13 Trailer Reel for March 16, 1946.

The KeyHawker Reconstruction Project was an attempt to recreate every daily trailer reel from 1930 to 2000. The Fiesta 13 Motor Drive-Inn revolutionized drive-in entertainment. Using the original the Trailer Jockey Logs, we’ve reconstructed the order, content & the original copy the TJ would write over the reel. The reels were so popular, many people just watched the usually 45 minute trailer reel & left before the feature.

What we present is just a small part of Zombie Swing Parade. Zombie Swing Parade is remix of 1945’s Zombies on Broadway & 1946’s Swing Parade of 1946. Only Level One Patrons have access to the full original movie with an added Lugosi plot line.

In 1940, The Fiesta 13 signed an exclusive deal with Bela Lugosi for the whole decade. In the deal, Bela Lugosi would be exclusively edited into every movie The Fiesta 13 shows to create a new original movie.

Also, due to the variances of the Universe, movies that had a riffed version, say from MST3K or Rifftrax, premiered with the future audio intact. Called Voices From the Future, fortunes were won and lost as viewers tried to connect the gibberish of the commentators with present-day concerns. Folly always followed.

So, call the wiener dogs, grab your pupcorn & transport back to a clear skied night at The Fiesta 13 on March 16, 1946.

This historical trailer reel contains The Fiesta 13’s first attempt at animation.
